India Update Issue 37 | July 2011 LPTI
Season’s Greetings!

This edition of the India Update brings to you some interesting destinations and the fascinating history to Explore, Experience and Enthuse your sense. Let the Incredibly Indian magic enthrall you! Spotlight this week is on Aurangabad - ‘The City of Gates’, a region with an interesting blend of ancient Indian architecture. Creativity should start with K, because that’s what is Kerala is best at – introducing to you Kumbalangi – a tiny fishing village, which was inaugurated just last week to be a “model tourist village”, an interesting concept that should encourage many more tourist to experience rural India.

This week we also share with you something that I am personally quite fond off, the thrill of white water rafting on the Indus River in the Ladakh region with the backdrop of the Himalayas, read about it in the product update section. The section also features quaint and pretty hill town of Ooty and cultural vibrance of Mahabalipuram. This is one time of the year, when we all love to visit God’s own country – Kerala, as the festive celebration of its most auspicious harvest festival – Onam unfolds. The region vibrates with an energy, as colours, customs and couture of the brightest shades are seen all around. Art forms of India are not just restricted to dance and music, in this edition we feature the unique art of Tanjore paintings that revered the world over and the fabric design styling with Tie & Dye tradition .

Lastly, we take this opportunity to thank you all, for the overwhelming support to our vote appeal for our ‘World Travel Awards’ nomination in the “India’s leading Destination Management” company category. This really does mean a lot to us.

With the monsoon in full bloom, here’s another Incredible India Update, especially for you. Do keep writing to us, we love to hear from you.

Have an Incredible Week!

Most Warmly
